We publish what our work teaches us about deciding on thin data, from Nigeria and Ghana to South Africa and the Netherlands. Each piece cites its primary sources and states the date its figures were true.
We write about the evidence official statistics miss, the early signals of political and regulatory change, and the institutional strategy that decides whether a plan survives contact with a real market.
Pieces draw on the four kinds of evidence we use in client work, hard data, thin data, ethnography and foresight. None of them describes a client engagement. Our clients have not cleared their work for publication, and we keep to that.
The first pieces are in preparation. This page lists each one as it is published.
